Amalie is an orphan girl claimed by a royal family as a distant relative just before coming of age in 1865.  However, it doesn’t take long for events to occur that pull Amalie into a web of deceit as the mystery of her origin begins to unfold.  To complicate matters, Amalie falls in love with a handsome Captain who is duty bound to marry another.
